Recorded approval

Repair Authorisation

Current version: 10 September 2026

VoltTech uses recorded approval so customers remain in control of repair and maintenance costs.

Initial assessment

Where a diagnostic assessment itself has a charge, VoltTech will disclose that charge before performing the diagnostic service. A diagnostic assessment may identify further repair work that requires a separate quotation.

Authorising work

Accepting a VoltTech repair quotation authorises only the work and charges listed on that quotation. The account system records the quotation number, accepted total, terms version and acceptance time.

Additional work

If further problems are discovered, VoltTech will explain the additional work and estimated charge and obtain further recorded approval before proceeding. A revised or additional quotation may be issued so the new scope is clear.

Declining additional work

A customer may decline additional work. Any already-authorised diagnostic or completed work remains payable according to the agreed scope and applicable law.

Data and passwords

Repair work can involve storage devices, operating systems and personal files. VoltTech will only request access reasonably needed for the service and customers should back up important information where reasonably possible.
