Privacy Notice
This notice explains how VoltTech handles personal information used for enquiries, accounts, PC builds, quotations, service work, documents, orders and payments.
Information we may process
This may include name, email, phone number, suburb, delivery/billing details, company name, account identifiers, saved PC builds, quotation and acceptance history, invoices, payment/order status, service history, messages and technical information reasonably needed to provide support.
Why we use it
VoltTech uses personal information to authenticate accounts, respond to enquiries, prepare and manage quotations, provide services, administer orders and payments, create customer documents, arrange delivery/collection, prevent fraud or misuse, meet legal obligations and support customers.
Service providers
VoltTech currently uses GitHub Pages for website hosting and Supabase for authentication/database services. Google is used where a customer selects Google sign-in. Transactional email may be delivered using Resend when enabled, and payment providers such as Yoco may process payment information when production payments are enabled.
Access and data export
Logged-in customers can use the Privacy & Data Centre to download a copy of account information available through the customer system and produce a printable personal-data report. This self-service feature supplements, rather than replaces, formal rights of access.
Correction and deletion
Customers may update supported profile information directly and may request correction or deletion of personal information where applicable. VoltTech provides an account-deletion workflow with a seven-day recovery period. During that period the request can be cancelled. After finalisation, login access is removed and information no longer required may be deleted or de-identified.
Information that may need to be retained
Account deletion does not mean every business record can always be destroyed immediately. VoltTech may retain limited invoices, transaction records, warranty/service records, fraud-prevention evidence or dispute records where retention is required or authorised by law. Retained information will be limited to the relevant purpose and should not be used as an active customer profile.
Security and retention
VoltTech uses access controls and database row-level security where supported. Information should not be kept longer than reasonably necessary, except where legal, accounting, warranty, contractual, dispute or security obligations justify retention.
Your rights and contact
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion, object to certain processing or raise a privacy complaint. Privacy requests can be sent to volttechcomputerco@gmail.com. Formal POPIA forms and complaint channels are available from the South African Information Regulator.
